Rickter configures relevant Frames of Reference, language and programme pathways with the organisation. The configuration reflects the population and delivery environment while retaining the Five Conversations, measurement architecture and evidence pathway required for consistent application.
Practitioners complete structured training, assessment and authorisation appropriate to their role. This develops the competence required to facilitate the process, protect participant ownership, record Movement Evidence accurately and apply the method consistently.
The Connecting Conversation establishes purpose, boundaries, consent, communication preferences and the conditions required for meaningful participation. Connection continues throughout the relationship and can be strengthened, revisited or adapted whenever the participant’s circumstances require it.
Through the Discovery Conversation, the participant identifies their current position and explains what that position means within their own Frame of Reference. This may unfold at the participant’s pace and does not require every domain to be completed at once.
Through the Destination and Commitment Conversations, the participant identifies a Desired State, explores available resources and chooses a realistic action when ready. These conversations may occur together or across different sessions, depending on readiness, complexity and context.
The period between Rickter conversations allows action, experience and changing circumstances to unfold. Agreed contact or check-ins can support the participant’s commitment while preserving their ownership and avoiding a premature judgement about whether movement has occurred.
At a meaningful review point, the Movement Conversation establishes the participant’s Present State or New Now. The review explores what the position means today, what has moved, what has remained stable and what matters next.
Baseline, personal meaning, Desired State, commitment, Present State and review remain connected within one evidence pathway. This creates traceable Movement Evidence that supports practitioner judgement, participant reflection, programme learning and credible reporting.
Appropriately de-identified Movement Evidence can be aggregated across individuals, groups, programmes and reviews. This reveals shared patterns, strengthens organisational learning and provides leaders, commissioners and funders with explainable evidence for improvement and decision-making.
Rickter gives individuals a structured way to identify what matters, express their current position and author the direction they want to pursue. Communication choices broaden meaningful participation, strengthen self-awareness and ensure that action and evidence remain connected to the individual’s priorities.
Practitioners gain an evidence-informed understanding of the individual’s position, meaning, resources and readiness for action. This supports responsive conversations, proportionate support and clearer practice decisions while keeping the individual’s Frame of Reference at the centre of the process.
Organisations gain a consistent method across practitioners and programmes, while configured Frames of Reference retain contextual relevance. A shared evidence architecture strengthens implementation, quality assurance and learning across different people, populations, services and delivery environments.
Baseline, Desired State and Present State provide connected indicators of the individual’s current position, personally authored direction and reviewed New Now. The relationships between these positions reveal movement or stability, interpreted through the individual’s meaning to produce explainable data measurement.
Rickter records what each position means, why it was selected and what has influenced movement, stability or changed direction. These indicators reveal shifts in awareness, expectations, priorities and circumstances that deepen the interpretation of the numerical evidence.
Resource identification, person-owned commitment, action and review provide indicators of engagement and applied movement between conversations. Combined with the individual’s explanation of what happened and what matters next, they connect intention, experience and changing circumstances over time.
Connected review evidence reveals progression, stability, disruption, reconsideration and changing priorities within the individual’s own context. Considered alongside service, clinical, educational or economic outcome indicators, it produces a more complete account of experienced movement while preserving personal meaning.
Appropriately de-identified Movement Profiles reveal patterns across domains, groups, programmes and reviews. Considered alongside delivery activity and external outcome measures, they help organisations understand programme contribution, refine design, improve delivery and direct resources where they can create greater value.
Movement Intelligence provides leaders, commissioners and funders with explainable evidence of participation, commitment, review and change across programmes. It strengthens decision-making, resource allocation and accountability while retaining traceability to person-owned evidence, governed reporting boundaries and the context required for credible interpretation.
